This 50-mile, self-supported, mixed-terrain bicycle ride takes us into the northeast suburbs, featuring lakes, lakes, and more lakes! The route is mostly paved, with a couple miles of smooth gravel, on bike pathes an plenty of road section.
The roads in this area are generally good for riding, with decent shoulders and 30mph speed limits. Riders must be comfortable riding with car traffic. Whether you're training for a big event, or just looking for new places to explore, this area is sure to become your new favorite place to ride.

This is a "drop ride" meaning there is no lead or sweep keeping the group together. You must be able to navigate the route on your own. WQe will try to keep a pace group going at 12-14 MPH, depending on terrain and weather.
Be prepared! Carry everything you need for an adventure ride: Helmet, water, snacks, lock, lights, tools, spare tube, and rain jacket/clothing. There is a convenience store at mile 22, and a couple water/bathroom stops along the way.
